# 1 Maintain Proper Diet
In today's world where people are in rush for everything, often skip a healthy diet, which usually ends with hair loss. So by maintaining a proper diet and by providing the essential nutrients to your body can help in reducing the hair loss. There are list of certain nutrients which may be essential for proper hair growth such as Vitamin A/B/C/D/E, Iron, Zinc, Proteins etc.
# 2 Regular Hair Wash
Your scalp is the place where your hair gets its base, so you can protect your hair loss by keeping your scalp healthy and clean. The key to this is shampoo but try to use a mild one because harsh formulas may dry up your hair and can even break them which will again take you to your initial issue.
# 3 Scalp Massage
Massaging your hair within a regular interval of time will help in proper circulation of blood, it also protect your hair from drying which in turn provides strength to your hair. You can use any oil according to your convenience, but best are suited are coconut and olive oil. Coconut oil contains lauric acid which helps to bind protein in hair, where as olive oil is a central ingredient in mediterranean diet which may help in slowing down in your genetic hair loss.
# 4 Stop/Avoid Smoking
If you are addicted to puff a cigarette, then try to quit immediately because smoking causes inflammation throughout your whole body which can further increase your hair loss.
# 5 Be Gentle With Your Hair
If you are habituated of twisting your hair around your fingers or pulling on it or you tightly pull back your in a bun, ponytail, pigtails, croncrows or braids, then try not to do it because it can cause a type of hair loss called as 'Traction Alopecia'. This happens when you pull your hair across anything and if done for a longer period of time may result permanent hair loss.

When hair is wet, it is in its weakest state. So avoid brushing wet hair because the chances of hair loss increases. But if you must comb wet hair, use a very wide-toothed comb. Also avoid brushing hair too frequently as doing so can injure hair and increase loss. Use your fingers to undo tangles, not a comb or brush.
# 7 Garlic Juice/Onion Juice/Ginger Juice
Rub one of the juices on your scalp, leave it overnight and wash it out in the morning. Do it regularly for a week and you will see noticeable result.
# 8 Keep Yourself Hydrated
The hair shaft comprises one quarter water so drink at least four to eight cups of water in a day to stay hydrated and for the growth of healthy hair.
# 9 Rub Green Tea
Studies have shown that rubbing green tea into hair may help curb hair loss problem. All you need to do is brew two bags of green tea in one cup of water, leave to cool and thereafter, apply it to your hair. Rinse your hair thoroughly after an hour. To see results, practice this regularly for a week to ten days.
# 10 Reduce Alcoholic Beverages
If you are experiencing hair loss than lessen your alcohol intake because drinking alcohol reduces hair growth. So decrease or eliminate alcohol to see an increase in hair growth.
# 11 Avoid Constant Heating & Drying
Don't subject your hair to frequent, constant heating and drying procedures. Heat weakens hair proteins, and constant heating and drying can lead to weakness and fragility that causes hair loss.
